For those of you that know me you have probably heard me preach the value of networking to grow our business. I can not understate how much I believe in networking to grow a business that will be around a long time. Networking will help you develop and improve your skill set, stay on top of the latest trends in your industry, keep a pulse on the job market, meet prospective mentors, partners, and clients, and gain access to the necessary resources that will foster your business development.

People like doing business with people they know and trust. We live in a social media marketing world now but nothing can replace the benefits from building relationships face to face. I spend a significant amount of time traveling to see existing business contacts and meet new ones. I will not determine the true value of a strategic partner until I have shared a meal or a drink with the person and get to know them. You can not place a price on these interactions and the ROI from these connections is priceless.

We use social media to promote the networking we do, build brand awareness and make new connections. By networking in different ways we believe this will introduce us to our next business contact. Then I jump on a plane to spend time with that contact and determine what synergies we have to provide more value to our combined networks. Rinse, wash, repeat……………EXPAND THE NETWORK.
