Christmas Party:  Reservations and menus for the Club's Christmas Party will be printed in the next two editions of the Carrier Wave.
Congratulations:  Congratulations go to Frank Holt, N3XCY, for winning the Grand Prize at the Warren, OH Hamfest.
PA QSO Party:  Tim Duffy, K3LR, moved to allocate $30 to sponsor a plaque for this year's PA QSO Party.  Steve Shemancik, AA3EW, seconded the motion.  The motion passed. This contest takes place on Oct. 10 & 11.  100 contacts are needed in order to obtain a specially decorated coffee mug.
E-mail:  Members are encouraged to submit their email addresses to the newsletter staff so that a list may be compiled and given to the membership.  The newsletter staff is:  Jerry Parkany, KB8YBE, Linda Yankovich, N3XZA, Mike Varga, NR3C, and Tom Galloway, K3TG.
Special Event:  The Penn/OH DX Society will be celebrating New Castle's bicentennial on Oct. 10 - 12.  The special event callsign is N3C.
Contests:  PA QSO Party:  Oct. 10 & 11;  CQ WW DX SSB:  Oct. 24 & 25
VE Testing:  Sept.26 is National Exam Day.  There will be testing by the Crawford County Amateur Radio Society in Meadville at St. Bridgid's Church at 9 AM.  Also, the Fort Venango Mic & Key Club will have VE testing at 9 AM on Oct. 17.  This will take place at their annual auction.
Program:  This evenings program is the 1st in a series of 2 or 3 to be presented by Tim Duffy, K3LR, on RF  Exposure and Requirements.
World Radio:  Joe Vaccaro, W3JTV, mentioned that the World Radio subscriptions won by Scott Jones, N3RA, Tom Junk, N3ZLV, and tonight's winner are missing.  The Club will take care of this so that these 3 get their year's subscription. 
Raffle:  World Radio Subscription and Oct. Issue; SWR/Field Strength Meter (11m); QST's (from AA3EW); $26 collected.
