estimated/meaured 45 mph or moe, Wind Damage, Hail, Flooding, Heavy Rain(.75 in. or greater in an hr.), Continued Lightning; Fire/Damage Caused By Lightning, Any Death/Injury Due To The Above.  There are also several net activation levels;  Condition "STANDBY" - severe thunderstorm watch has been issued but no weather activity is occuring.; Condition "GREEN" - all tonado watches and severe thunderstorm watchs when active weather is occurring; Condition "YELLOW" - severe thunderstorm and flash flood warning; Condition "RED" - tornado warning. During "STANDBY" a net control station is established, and take and log checkins...normal use of the repeater can continue.  During "Green"  full net activation takes place with net control taking control of the frequency, requesting weather reports, and relaying information to & fom the NWS.  During condition "Yellow", priority is given to to collecting and relaying weather reports...no net checkins/checkouts at this time.  During condition "Red", net control takes control of the frequency and requests tonado, funnel cloud, and wall cloud reports...stations without any report metting the above criteria should maintain radio silence.  Those amateurs interested in becoming Skwarn obsevers should by all means attend a Skywarn training session to learn in more detail how to obseve and report these weather events.  Thanks to the NWS in Pittsburgh for providing information  contained in this article.  To access the "NWS Pit" internet site go to: www.nws.noaa.gov/er/pit.
