ARL HONORS EMSWORTH NATIVE AND
U.S. MARINE, LANCE CORPORAL PATRICK KENNY
Local trucking company, ARL, will decal its fleet of 400 tractor-trailers in memory of Lance Corporal Patrick Kenny. Company officials will unveil the decal at an intimate ceremony with Kenny’s family and Senator Pippy, Monday, January 30, at 9 a.m.
Kenny, an Emsworth, Pa., native, was killed in action in Iraq on October 6, 2005. A graduate of Avonworth High School, Kenny was captain of the football team his senior year and left for boot camp immediately following his last class in June 2003 to fulfill a lifelong dream of joining the military.
"We were all inspired by the story of a loving son, caring brother, reassuring friend and proud marine", said Ron Faherty, president of ARL. Decaling our trucks seemed like a very visual way to honor Pat for his service to our country.
ARL will also donate 100% of the proceeds from the sale of a bumper sticker honoring Kenny to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. To show your support, email your order to
Cindy@arlnetwork.com. Cost is $5 each or three for $10.
